Rick's mom has benefited from the services of a CAREGiver for over a year.

Kelly’s grandparents have used Home Instead’s services since July 2003.  She says her grandparents would be forced to go to a nursing home without Home Instead Senior Care.  Her family previously tried another service without success.

"They rearranged the schedule. On the same Friday I called, we started night time care. I would have been thrilled if they could get a CAREGiver by the end of the weekend. That means a lot not having to wait. It’s such peace of mind. I can’t say enough."

Sandy Young is the Ozaukee County CAREGiver of the Year, with five years of experience, Young said,

"Seniors  are all very unique individuals. They have wonderful stories to tell. They just don’t give up. They keep going no matter how much pain they’re in. That inspires me to keep going, too."

Sandy Bertler was named the Fond du Lac/Washington County CAREGiver of the Year.  She said she would recommend caregiving to anyone who has a love of seniors.

"Tell them it’s very rewarding. You actually make a difference in this person’s life when they look at you and say, ‘I’m glad you’re here.' "
 

Rhea Kalkhoff began working as a CAREGiver in October 2001.
